Saudi condemns Houthi use of human shields when they know damn well it won’t stop them from striking

November 26, 2018     No Comment

Saudi Arabia condemned the Houthi movement Ansar Allah for using civilians as human shields despite knowing that such a strategy is futile as the Saudi army will bomb indiscriminately regardless.

The spokesperson of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense said that the Houthis carry the full responsibility for civilian casualties, “They are wholly aware that we don’t have any mercy or compassion towards the Yemenite people.  We did not discriminate when inflicting them with cholera and hunger, and we will not let any chance of bombing their houses, markets, mosques, wedding or funeral venues pass us by. What if there are members of the Houthi militia amongst them?”

The civilians are complicit with the Houthis, according to the spokesperson. “Those traitors could have finished themselves off before letting the militants into their midst, or they could have left the enemy infested areas of Yemen and headed for safe territory – the ocean, for example. If unwilling to do either, the least they can do is put on Houthi military uniforms, forgo their non-combatant status, and die with honor on the battlefield.”

The spokesperson pointed out that Saudi Arabia have taken several steps to avoid civilian casualties in future battles against the Houthis, “We have ordered our soldiers and pilots not to aim missiles or bullets against the Houthis before being certain they have killed every civilian in the area, saving both the civilians from being taken hostage and ourselves from embarrassment on the world stage.”
